Cheltenham is a picturesque place to visit at anytime of year, it is nestled in the centre of the beautiful Cotswold. Personally I love to visit during the summer months because the sun is shining, it gives you a good opportunity to explore the magnificent gardens in the National Trust grounds.
Usually my trips are made over a weekend, usually on a bank holiday weekend, so I have learnt how to make the best of my time there. With so much to see and so little time it i important for you to plan wisely and see the absolutely best things that are on offer.
Here are my top recommendations for anyone planning to visit this year:
Cotswold Farm Park
If you’re heading to Cheltenham with your family then this is the ideal place to visit, I would go as far as saying that is it the best place for a family day out in the area. There are lots of rare breeds to see and it gives the whole family a chance to have fun together and learn more about the great outdoors.
The best time to visit the racecourse is when the annual festival takes place. It is one of the best horse racing festivals that you will find in the UK and has some of the world’s most famous races! Not only that but there is a great party atmosphere as well, so put on your glad rags and get ready for a fantastic day! If you have to head home early then you can check the cheltenham results 2015 at williamhill.com.
This has often been called one of the most outstanding buildings in the United Kingdom, it certainly is one of the best examples of architecture from Medieval times. It is a spectacular fortress and one that the whole family will enjoy seeing.
